Welcome to Parker Elementary School!

Parker Elementary School (formerly Fort Rucker Elementary), was established in 1963 and is part of DoDEA Americas. There are approximately five hundred students from grades second through sixth. All of our students are military dependents residing on Fort Novosel.

The Army Aviation Center, Fort Novosel, is located in the southeast corner of lower Alabama. Fort Novosel is approximately 80 miles south of Montgomery and 20 miles northwest of Dothan. Florida's Gulf Coast lies 80 miles to the south. The communities of Enterprise, Daleville, and Ozark are west, south, and east of the post, respectively, and serve as the three main gates.

We welcome you in creating a special environment where staff, parents, and community can work together in harmony. We believe that this close, nurturing environment, where each child's individual needs are addressed, allows our children to reach their greatest potential, both academically and socially.

Respect is most important at Parker Elementary School. We promote respect in every way. Teachers are respectful to children and to each other, and children are expected to be respectful, both to adults and other students. It is our unswerving commitment to a respectful environment that creates a place where children feel safe and learning can take place.

Parents are always welcome! A strong partnership between staff and parents creates a strong school. We appreciate the trust you have in us and are dedicated to providing the very best possible education for your children.

We truly know that the success of our students is the close working relationship with parents. Our school system has numerous opportunities for parents to participate in their child's education. For those of you who would like to assist the teacher in school we ask that you first receive an Installation Records check before working in the school. This will be performed when you register your child for school.
